You’re Engaged–Now You Need a Wedding Registry!
If you are reading this post then chances are you recently got engaged, so first, congratulations! You may feel overwhelmed with all the decisions you now have to make and the planning that must be done. I completely understand! I got married in January of this year and only had a two month engagement-so I had to wedding plan fast. Today we’re going to talk about the wedding registry aspect of wedding planning, which is great because that is one of the most fun parts!
Where Should You Set Up Your Wedding Registry?
I used The Knot to do all of my wedding plan and found it super useful! We connected our Knot wedding account to our Amazon account and created our registry completely on Amazon, however The Knot has many other store options to choose from as well!
What Should I Put On My Wedding Registry?
Great question! Below I have created a pinnable checklist of all the items you need on your wedding registry that can be saved to your wedding Pinterest board. (I know you have one, who doesn’t!? 🙂 )
I also go in depth into my favorite items we received off our wedding registry in this post (that you should consider adding to yours), so keep reading!

My Absolute Favorite Wedding Registry Items
Toshiba Microwave and Convection Oven
I absolutely love this microwave and it also doubles as a convection oven. My mother-in-law is actually the one to suggest it to me. She has one as well and she absolutely loves it! Just a note, this microwave is on the larger side so be mindful of your countertop space!
Gotham Steel Cookware & Bakeware Set
I can not say enough good things about this cookware and bakeware set. My husband and I adore this cookware and I am not exaggerating in the slightest. Everything cooks amazingly, and we haven’t had a single issue with baked on food getting stuck to the pans. I promise you these will be the easiest dishes you have ever had to wash. If there is one thing from this list that you absolutely should add to your wedding registry–it is this. Although this gift is on the expensive side, The Knot allows guests to make contributions towards a gift instead of buying it entirely as long as you select that option. You can choose your purchasing options on each gift separately!
Keurig K-Cafe Coffee, Latte, and Cappuccino Maker
This is another slightly more expensive gift, but I promise you it is worth it if you are a coffee lover. Now, this is no high tech espresso machine by any means. But if you are someone who enjoys a latte but don’t want to spend $4 for a coffee then this is a great option and it is super user friendly. You don’t need any previous barista experience. You are also able to make plain old coffee in this as well!
Bodark Kitchen Knife Set and Block
Everyone knows the infuriating feeling of trying to cut something with a bad quality, dull knife. My husband and I made a large effort to avoid that situation and after some searching we decided on this knife set. We love them! They are super comfortable to use and incredibly sharp. The knife block comes with a built in sharpener as well!
Hamilton Beach Electric Tea Kettle
Honestly I think this is a good gift to put on your wedding registry whether you are a tea fan or not. I promise you it will come in handy at some point and it gets your water to a boil incredibly fast.
Organic Bamboo Sheet Set
When my husband suggested that we put this on our wedding registry I thought it was kind of funny and unnecessarily fancy for bed sheets. I mean, they’re just bed sheets right? However, he reasoned that sleep was a pretty important thing and he’d rather go a little extra for something as important as our sleep–which convinced me. And I am so glad we did add these to our registry, they are very warm and soft!
Salad Bowl with Servers Set
What a strange thing to be so excited about, right? I know. However my husband and I make a lot of salads and these dishwasher safe salad bowls and serving set have been so useful!
Salad Spinner
Fun fact, this is actually something I forgot to put on our wedding registry and quickly realized we needed. So we bought this item ourselves but we love it, and this is just a friendly reminder to put a salad spinner on your registry!
Other Great Wedding Registry Ideas
If you have stockpiled a lot of the usual household wedding registry items over the years and don’t feel the need to add them that is completely fine! There are plenty of other cool ideas for your wedding registry. The Knot allows you to create funds for people to donate to, such as a honey moon fund, or even a wedding expenses fund. It even offers pre-planned international experiences that you can have people donate towards, so that you can go on your dream vacation. You can check them out here!
My husband and I weren’t positive of our living situation leading up to our wedding so it was hard for us to pick specific home decor to put on our wedding registry. Instead we let people donate to a fund that went towards decor and furnishing our home, and it worked really well!
Have Fun Creating Your Dream Wedding Registry
No one knows what you want better than you, and your friends, family, and loved ones want to get you gifts that you will love. So, have fun creating your wedding registry. It’s a time to get excited and imagine you and your fiancé’s new life together, so enjoy it!
I hope this guide helped you, thanks so much for reading!
